Wednesday Night Youth
At Lone Oak Baptist Church, Wednesday Night Youth is where kids discover that following Jesus is the greatest adventure of all.
Wednesday Night Youth is a Bible-based program that helps children and teens grow in their faith through games, Scripture memory, and small group time. Kids earn awards as they learn God's Word, build friendships, and develop a foundation that lasts a lifetime.
We meet every Wednesday evening from 6:30–7:45 p.m.
Who's Invited
Pre-K through 3rd Grade
Our younger kids use BRITE curriculum by AWANA—a Christ-centered program designed for early elementary ages, with engaging Bible stories, activities, and Scripture learning that meets them right where they are.
4th Grade through 8th Grade
Our older students dig deeper through Bible teaching, Scripture memory, and discipleship, building a faith foundation that will carry them through their teenage years and beyond.
Why Wednesday Night Youth at Lone Oak?
Our youth program has grown so much that in 2023, we built a full-size basketball/pickleball court and sand volleyball court specifically to serve our kids. We're invested in the next generation—not just spiritually, but in creating spaces where they can play, compete, and build community.
Every Wednesday Night Includes:
Game Time (6:30–6:55 p.m.)
Kids burn energy and build teamwork on our courts and in the gym, playing basketball, volleyball, and organized group games.
Special Events & Trips
Throughout the year, we mix things up with swimming trips, service projects where kids learn to love their neighbors, and fun outings like visiting Gumdrops in Carterville—where we pack care bags to share God's love with others in our community.
Class Time (6:55-7:25 p.m.)
Worship Time (7:25–7:45 p.m.)
We gather in the sanctuary for worship, Scripture, and prayer—closing the night by pointing kids back to Jesus.
